Plot/ Story
Set in the village of Devipur, Uttarakhand, the narrative centers on twin sisters Saumya and Shailee Pundir (both portrayed by Kriti Sanon). Saumya is married to Dhruv Sood (Shaheer Sheikh), a man with a violent streak. As domestic abuse escalates, Saumya and Shailee devise a plan to expose Dhruv’s actions, leading to a complex tale of deception and justice.
Through Maaji’s narration, we discover that Dhruv, the son of a minister and owner of a paragliding company in Devipur, met Saumya, who soon developed feelings for him. When Saumya introduced Dhruv to her family, her identical twin sister, Shailee, became infatuated with him. Since their mother’s death, Saumya had always been the center of attention due to her struggles with phobias and mental health issues, which fueled Shailee’s growing resentment. Dhruv and Shailee began dating, but Shailee’s impulsive and unpredictable behavior made Dhruv reconsider their relationship. Meanwhile, pressure from his father following a failed business deal pushed Dhruv to focus on stability and marry someone with a calmer demeanor. As a result, Dhruv married Saumya, yet Shailee continued to pursue him, leading to ongoing conflict.
