Mahesh Babu Srimanthudu Plot/ Story
Harsha Vardhan is the sole heir to his father Ravikanth’s vast business empire worth ₹25,000 crore. While attending his friend Apparao’s birthday party, Harsha meets Charuseela, a determined young woman passionate about rural development. Inspired by her dedication, Harsha enrolls in a university course focused on the subject.
Charuseela’s mission is to improve conditions in Devarakota, a remote village in Uttarandhra where she grew up. The village faces serious challenges due to the exploitation of its natural resources by Sashi, the brother of Central Minister Venkata Ratnam. Sashi’s ruthless control has forced many villagers to abandon their homes in search of a better life. Despite the hardships, the village head, Narayana Rao, remains hopeful that things will eventually improve.
Meanwhile, Ratnam’s son Radha threatens to harm Ravikanth’s family unless he withdraws from a prestigious highway contract. Ravikanth’s nephew, Karthik — who secretly hopes to inherit the business — leaks critical bidding details to Radha. However, Harsha learns about this scheme and quietly warns Ratnam in Delhi. He then submits a lower bid on behalf of his father’s company, securing the contract.
When Charuseela discovers Harsha’s identity as Ravikanth’s son, she begins to distance herself from him. She explains that Ravikanth, a native of Devarakota, left the village for Hyderabad in pursuit of wealth, unlike her father Narayana Rao, who stayed to support the community. After their conversation, Charuseela bids Harsha farewell.
Determined to make a difference, Harsha asks his father for an extended leave before joining the family business. Without revealing his plans, he travels to Devarakota and introduces himself to Narayana Rao as a student studying rural development. As Harsha learns more about the village’s struggles under Sashi’s oppression, he announces his decision to adopt Devarakota and improve its conditions.
In response, Ratnam instructs Sashi to initiate development projects in the village — not to improve lives but to gain political credit. Meanwhile, Narayana Rao reveals to Harsha that Ravikanth once tried to uplift Devarakota by establishing a dairy farm to support the locals. Tragically, Sashi and Ratnam set the farm ablaze, resulting in multiple deaths. Ravikanth was wrongly blamed, humiliated, and arrested. Heartbroken, he left the village behind and focused solely on building his business empire.
Motivated by his father’s unfinished dream, Harsha dedicates himself to transforming Devarakota and restoring its prosperity.
