Story / Plot
Rama (Darling Krishna) is raised in a deeply patriarchal household under the influence of his domineering father, Siddegowda (Rangayana Raghu). Growing up, he adopts the same toxic masculine mindset, believing that men should always be in control. His mother, Kousalya (Sudha Belawadi), silently endures the oppression, further reinforcing Rama’s beliefs.
Rama falls in love with Shivani (Brinda Acharya), a strong-willed woman who initially reciprocates his feelings. However, his rigid, chauvinistic attitude drives her away, leaving him heartbroken. Soon after, his mother’s death shakes his world, forcing him to reflect on his actions and upbringing.
Determined to change, Rama agrees to marry Muthulakshmi (Milana Nagaraj), a woman struggling with alcoholism due to a troubled past. Unlike traditional heroines, she is flawed yet independent. Through their unconventional relationship, Rama begins to understand the true meaning of equality, respect, and love.
As the story unfolds, Rama realizes that true masculinity isn’t about dominance but empathy and understanding. He works to transform himself, breaking free from the toxic ideologies ingrained in him since childhood. Kousalya Supraja Rama is a heartwarming tale of self-realization, redemption, and breaking gender stereotypes.
