A Wealthy Family Faces Innumerable Problems and Reunited With Their Long-Lost Relatives To Pray To Their Divinity For Solutions, Unaware It Will Rewaken The Feud Between A Classical Dancers, Chandarmukhi And Vettaiyan Raja Fron The Past Centuries.
The Story Revolves Around The Wealthy Ranganayaki And Her Family, Which Includes Her Brother, Suresh Menon, And Their Respective Families. Ranganayaki’s Elder Daughter Elopes, But Tragically, She And Her Husband Die In A Plane Crash. The Family Faces Further Misfortunes, Such As A Factory Fire And A Car Accident That Leaves One Daughter, Divya, In A Wheelchair.
To Seek A Solution, They Consult Guruji, An Astrologer Who Advises Them To Perform A Prayer At Their Family Deity Temple In Vettaiyapuram. They Rent The Vettaiyapuram Palace But Are Warned Not To Enter The Southern Part, Where Chandramukhi’s Room Is Located. Despite The Warning, They Explore The Area, Accidentally Releasing Chandramukhi’s Spirit.
Strange Events Unfold, And They Discover That Chandramukhi’s Spirit Has Possessed One Of The Family Members. With The Help Of Guruji And A Sage, They Learn The Tragic History Of Chandramukhi, Vettaiyan, And The Palace. A Battle Ensues Between Divya (Possessed By Chandramukhi) And Pandiyan (Possessed By Vettaiyan). Ultimately, The Sage Sacrifices Himself To End Chandramukhi’s Reign, And The Family Performs A Prayer To Find Peace. The Movie Hints At A Possible Sequel.
